G.T Hogan

G.T. Hogan is a band which music varies is just good music and let it flow. We play Jazz, may be some metal, rock, some blues, oldies, tributes, covers n’ stuff. At the G.T. Hogan band we are ten people, which two are vocalists named Barry and Joanna, the electric guitarist is John, then we have Bob at the violin, Jessica at the bass, Charlie with the battery, with the saxophone there is Peter, in the guitar is Jason, at the keyboard is Susan, and finally me as second baterist and some guitar.

The name of the band G.T Hogan came up in honor of Wilbert Granville Thodore Hogan Jr. who was an American Jazz drummer, he also played saxophone at high school. He was the base of our inspiration and we love they way he came up with the music.

The band started few years ago in a small down town concert nearby Venezuela, was a small tour among some bands. Most of us were separated in different bands and we all met at the “Sharpie tour”, was pretty cool we get along and we saw each other play with the other bands and most of us had chemistry at a moment of playing, so we thought that maybe we should all try to play a cover or something that would be cool for us too try and see if we all stick together will work. So at the same day at the concert we closed the tour, we played a song named “together” ironic right? We just let the music flow and play the song and it was a hit at the concert everyone was so excited with us the way we all came together, from there on we tried to keep both bands but problems started to arrive.

All of us were out of our old band and started a new cycle. To say, not everything was beautiful among us. There were some fights and disagreements with the arrangement in the music style we were about to play, but then, we figure out that why don’t we play a little of everything, that way we can enjoy it as well as our audience. We have been as G.T Hogan all ready for five years and we don’t regret we enjoy playing our music together for everyone who might enjoy it.
