The chaos and the constant noise and motion of Mumbai at the center of the film, (supported by a fabulous soundtrack) are contrasted with a deeper silent seeking. Describe what each of the main characters is seeking.
JAMAL: first of all the thing he most wanted was to be with Latika, because he had been in a lots of thing for her and with her, most of what he did was for her and to be with her, it wasn't about money or cars or houses, it was only for him to be with Latika. He wasn't too much interested in money he only wanted peace and a nice life.
SALIM: he was more interested in the money, since he was a little boy he had wished money, wealth, but he never got it because of his life style, so when he grew up he did many thing including killing to get what he wanted.

In the final scene, we see Salim and the choice he makes - filling the bathtub with money, etc. Why does he make this choice?
Salim made this choice because after going through many bad thing in his life to get what he had, he knew he was gonna die so what he did was getting the most important thing he had which was money and put it into the bathtub and decided to die with the it. He knew that money was the reason for him to die, he was a poor child and know that he had money and was going to die he wanted to die with his money so he wouldn't be alone.

This film weaves together nightmare and impossible dream. What do you take away as the most important message or impression from the film?
I think the most important message of the film was that you should never give up, try till death and fight for what yo want. It also talks about beleaving in what you whated and being honest will make you a winner.

  1. In the seocnd question I think that he made that choice to kill the guy for all the bad things that guy made him pass, and that if he kill him he will be set free or something.
He didn't expect that the others guy s would kill him .. but any way he deserved irt for being such a bad guy like making Latika and his own brother Jamal suffer that much .
